Description
Photograph made while crossing the Mosel River in Germany near the city of Koblenz and the junction with the Rhine River.
Anyone who has ever tried to make a Fine Art photograph through the window of a moving train or bus will tell you what a fool's errand it really is. And riding the high speed German Inter-City Express trains is no different. The ride is relatively smooth, but the reflections are unavoidable and at 200 mph the optical effects become, uh, interesting. But I had one chance to see Europe by train and I gave it a determined effort.
The ICE train was slowing on its approach to the city of Koblenz when we crossed over the Mosel River and I was able to get a good, clear photograph of the beautiful autumn scene.
