Artist's Description
The turbulent skies near Page, Arizona during a strong summer monsoon thunderstorm. Wind had made making photographs from Horseshoe Bend on the Navajo Nation overlooking the Colorado River quite perilous. Then came the storm, and what a storm it was, with howling wind, lashing rain, brilliant lightning and deafening thunder. Suddenly the sky cleared overhead, affording me this momentary view at the inside of the storm while the grit in the wind scoured the landscape below.
