Description
What was a bright and clear autumn afternoon at Arizona's Petrified Forest National Park had turned to mud. The golden hour light was becoming all grey and yucky, so I headed for home. Just outside the park entrance I came over a rise and this scene of the sun approaching the horizon at sunset greeted me. Farmers on the Navajo Reservation were burning their fields in early November, and the smoke was drifting over the park.
