Description
Had Raphael the privilege to witness a glorious desert Southwest sunset he might have been inspired to paint a colorful scene such as this. The location was in Tucson Mountain Park, and the date was August 10th, 2023.
The intense heat of the Sonoran Desert summer results in much fine dust being scattered into the atmosphere, and results in some occasionally stunning sunsets such as this. With the dark rain clouds behind, I zoomed in my lens to make this abstract of the magnificent color reflected by the clouds over Saguaro National Park.
This cloudscape mural is part of my "West By Southwest - An American Mural Project" collection. Like all of the others in the collection it is formatted in the 3:5 ratio and are only available in the 20" x 12", 24" x 14.375", 30" x 18", 40" x 24", 48" x 28.75", and 60" x 36" sizes, also 43.25" X 72" as a massive wall mural with vivid color and astonishing clarity. The 60" x 36" and 72" x 43" sizes may be mounted and framed as a print without mat, but is best displayed as a stretched canvas or vibrant metal print to decorate a large wall surface. It will also make for a very rewarding jigsaw puzzle.
