Description
"Carnival" is a result of the notion that I could "paint" with my camera, using the light passing through the lens to apply colors onto the imaging surface with a single exposure. In doing so, I create abstract light paintings such as "Carnival", suggesting the energy, the motion, and just the plain fun of a carnival, strictly by the photographic process. Yet these are actual photographs, usually the entire full frame image, with only minor post capture processing to change contrast and color density.
The sublime magic of of this surreal image is such that I can offer it in two perspectives to give interior designers and art directors more options and greater flexibility for their designs. This is one of two vertical format images that will allow for book-end composition options in an interior design.
"Carnival" is only being issued as a limited edition print, with a total of 50 copies to be produced. If you desire a signed certificate of authenticity when you purchase this Douglas Taylor Fine Art Print of "Carnival", please contact the artist via e-mail at: douglas@pricklypearadise.com
Signed, numbered and authenticated prints may be obtained directly from the artist as well. This is the first public exhibition "Carnival". It is a full frame, 2:3 ratio format image, and is featured in my Creative Photography gallery.
