Description
Swirling storm clouds of summer monsoon reflect the last red rays of the setting sun in the desert west of Tucson, Arizona.
The science of survival during the monsoon storm season is based on keeping keen situation awareness as the storms brew up and occasionally create dangerous, even life threatening conditions. The same applies to making nature photographs. In this case the sunset to the west was becoming predominantly grey when a last ray of sunshine illuminated the swirling clouds overhead. Thankfully I was paying full attention to the gathering storm and was able to see and photograph this brief moment of sunset color.
