Description
Most photographers hang it up at sunset, but I find the hours of darkness at night to offer a wide range of compelling subjects to photograph. A long hike up Sabino Canyon near Tucson, Arizona for a sunset was a nice disappointment, but my real objective was a full moon rising over the canyon walls long after sundown. I didn’t know how or when, but I knew that the opportunity was there if I found the place. The glow of the rising moon indicated where, and I was fortunate enough to have waited at a place that gave me the foreground I had hoped for.
