Description
"Evening Storm" was the result of a (ongoing) quest, to catch a bolt of lightning with a sunset as background. The storm built up a few miles west of Tucson, and I made this photograph from Tucson Mountain Park and Saguaro National Park west of Tucson, Arizona overlooking the Altar Valley, plus the Roskgrug and Santa Rosa Mountains. Kitt Peak and the Quinlan Mountains are in the distance to the southwest.
CONTEST WINNER: 1st Place, "Spiritual Rain" contest, August 2022.
CONTEST WINNER: 2nd Place, "Favorite Photos" contest hosted by the "What Makes You Happy" art group, out of 1,179 entries, August 2020.
CONTEST WINNER: 2nd Place, "Film Photography" contest, January 2023
